Megan Anna Rapinoe, born in Redding California on 5 July 1985. When she was in her teens she took up soccer. Rachael was her fraternal sister. She was a student at the University of Portland with Rachael. The next time she played was with the Seattle Washington Sounders Women now called the Sound FC. In 2013, Rapinoe spent her time playing soccer in France. She then joined in the Seattle Reign FC now OL Reign of the National Women's Soccer League NWSL that was formed following the WPS was disbanded. Rapinoe was soon a top scorer for the team and eventually was named captain. She first took part in her first FIFA Women's World Cup in the year 2011. Her contributions was instrumental in helping in helping the U.S. Women's World Cup win successive championships between 2015 and 2019. In 2018, she was named cocaptain. At the 2020 Olympics at Tokyo Japan postponed until 2021 because of the COVID-19 virus. Rapinoe had two goals in the bronze medal match as the United States defeated Australia by an aggregate total of 4-3.
